Magical stay in a gorgeous riad
There is no better place to stay in Marrakech than the gorgeous, well-designed, comfortable L’Hotel Marrakech. I had done a ton of research before booking our stay for my husband’s 40th birthday — I knew I wanted to stay in a riad in the Medina and my expectations were high after all of the praise and reviews and recommendations for L’Hotel Marrakech, and yet, this place truly blew me away! The riad is so serene and perfectly designed, the service is so friendly and everyone who worked at the riad was professional and warm, and anticipated every need or want. On my husband’s birthday, they baked him a chocolate cake, and on cold nights they’d light a fire in our room without us even needing to ask. The food was also among the best meals we had. Nordine and Omar couldn’t have taken better care of us, been kinder or more accommodating. And Ismail worked with me for months to plan and book the perfect dinners and experiences — ones that weren’t just in the guidebooks. I can’t wait to come back!

Amazing and Peaceful
The riad is amazing, and so beautiful. It is such a sanctuary with in the midst of hustle and bustle of the Medina. The staff are amazing and so attentive. We love the whole experience and they do make you feel at home with such a personalized service and care. It is a luxurious yet homely stay in the Riad. There are only 5 rooms/suite I believe. We had dinner in the riad and they set it up so beautifully in the dining room. The food and ambience are amazing. The staff really cares for us and gave us useful insight and information for the souk, taxi, and other places we want to visit. We will be back again and we are just lost for words for the beauty of the stay.

The best hotel in Marrakech
This was the best boutique hotel experience we’ve had anywhere in the world. The hotel itself is gorgeous with various sitting rooms, gardens, and a swimming pool. Our suite had a private balcony and the entire hotel only has 5 or so rooms, so the sense that you are being taken care of it unparalleled. The entire staff was amazing but I can’t say enough about Hicham, who helped us plan our stay via email beforehand and then advised on our daily activities while we where there. We had breakfast every morning in whatever space we pleased, and the food was outstanding. The best we had in Marrakech. We had a private dinner as well one night, and the beef and quince tajine was our favorite that we had the entire trip. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, a great central location. I can’t praise the hotel enough.

- L’Hôtel Marrakech, and it’s team, are a treasure. The riad is impeccably designed—everywhere you look is another gorgeous view. It is almost impossible to believe that such a calm, enchanting respite is tucked away inside the busy, exciting Medina. In every way, the service, food, and experience were delightful and well considered. I cannot recommend visiting enough.

Simply Amazing
We spent 4 nights at this fantastic riad for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we simply could not fault it. Hidden behind a very large unasuming door at the end of a side street there’s an absolutely beautiful oasis. The staff are so genuinely nice and interested in ensuring your stay is perfect and we loved the little resident tortoises who added to the overall serene feel. We had an amazing presentation on Morrocan tea and it’s history, thank you Nordean and Hitcham ensured our every need was catered for with such ease, nothing was too much trouble. A very special place that has left us with wonderful memories.

A slice of heaven. Beautifully appointed. Quiet, cool, elegant. This is the best place to stay in all of Marrakech. Staff is exceptional. Went the extra mile time and again. Rooftop patio a great view of the sunset. Breakfast sublime. An oasis

A long delayed break
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, tucked away in the Medina (make sure you arrange a pick up). The courtyard was just beautiful and dinner in the evening was peaceful and romantic (the soundtrack was Billie Holiday). Needless to say the food and service was impeccable . Three days was not long enough – I cant wait to go back.

A 7 star experience in a beautiful Riad
This small hotel with 5 suites is just perfection. The interior design misses nothing from the starling colours to the attention to detail. Even dates and sugared rose petals in your suite.
Walking through the big Green Doors from the hustle and bustle into an oasis of peace with the sound of water. Perfection.
Met by the wonderful Luca who looked after everything throughout our stay and his Dream Team who could not have done more for us. Always with a smile.
The suites are beautiful, the beds divine and the sound of birds at night as you drift off to sleep.

Perfect Stay
Just returned from a perfect 5 day stay at l’hôtel Marrakech. I’ve been to the city many times and stayed in other very notable 5 star establishments, and l’hôtel easily ranks among the best. The property is simply appointed with Jasper Conran’s exquisite taste you are truly made to feel at home – in addition, service and food is flawless. The pool is lovely and large for a Medina Riad and heated to 28°C and accessible day and night. The cooks are fantastic – they served us in about every public space of the hotel from the dining room to the patio to the rooftop. There are phones conveniently positioned throughout the property to receive 24 hour staff assistance. And a special hats off in particular to Fred, the assistant manager and his wonderful staff who are genuinely knowledgeable & gracious. The ordered drivers, spas, in room treatments, and anything else we required with an attentive smile. Our suite was beautiful more so than the photos lead to believe – domed ceilings, beautiful crafts work, and a perfectly chosen mix of new and antique furniture that felt beautifully lived in. Would definitely recommend above other similarly positioned establishments and return on a future stay to Marrakech!

An oasis of calm
“We were lucky enough to stay at L’Hotel Marrakesh for 5 nights and loved everything about it: our room (Asilah) was beautiful and airy, the courtyard was shady and peaceful with its trees, birds and water fountain with fresh roses floating in the bubbling water and the pool was so refreshing to come home to after the heat and frenetic pace of the souqs in the medina. As other have commented, the staff at the riad are so accommodating and professional – we ate dinner there on 2 evenings (once up on the roof terrace which we had entirely to ourselves) and they made sure to cook us different but equally delicious meals on each occasion. They chilled the champagne we had brought with us from duty free and provided olives and nibbles to go with it – well we were there for our wedding anniversary! They also arranged a guided tour of the medina and a day trip to the Atlas mountains as well as transport to a beautiful golf course just outside the city. The overall feeling of L’Hotel Marrakesh is one of staying in a stylish private residence with just the most wonderful hosts – many thanks to Luca, Fred and all the team.”

Oozing style
“We chose the Tangier suite which was beautiful, so light and airy with an incredibly comfy bed and the most amazing linen. I didn’t feel it was worth the extra for a balcony as there are incredible other areas to sit and lounge. Right choice. Staff were great – very helpful but unobtrusive.”

Amazing!
“What a beautiful, beautiful place and 1st rate service. We stayed in the Tangier suite, which was absolutely gorgeous. I’m not a bath person but had one every night. The Riad is small so you feel like the entire place is yours. The staff is quite attentive and they take care of you as if you are the most important people in the world. You are in the heart of the Medina which has so much going on around you and then you get to go back to this oasis. It was an incredible stay.”

Beautiful Riad and amazing service
“We loved our 4 night stay. This is a very stylish boutique Riad hotel in a great location in the Medina area. Service was great throughout but we must compliment the assistant manager Fred in particular for his care, attention to detail and help in planning our trip. The food is simply outstanding. One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced and the dinner was really special and probably our best meal in Marrakech (and we went to some of the top restaurants). All of this is even more impressive when you consider that this is such a small property. Rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated. Even the small pool is heated and comfortable and the roof terrace is stunning. The most perfect place for a few days in Marrakech.”

Gorgeous hotel experience
“Our stay at L’Hôtel Marrakech was unforgettable. The hotel itself was beautiful, with impeccable design, a lush central courtyard and gorgeous pool, quiet terraces and gardens at every turn. It’s a small hotel with only 5 suites, so at times it feels like you are the only one there. The staff were incredibly attentive to our every need. The food was delicious- we will be recommending friends and family to come for lunch or dinner if they do not have the opportunity to stay. Both Luca and Fred were amazing – they arranged everything for us and provided wonderful local recommendations, even after we had left them and were traveling outside of Marrakech. The location of the hotel was right in the Médina, but tucked away so that you feel like you fully escape the city when you enter. 5 stars.”

This was our first visit to Marrakech and we loved this quiet Riad in the Medina. Luxurious Riad
“L’Hôtel Marrakech is a lovely riad. It is small with only five or six suites which means it is tranquil. We sat out reading and enjoying the scents of the garden. When swimming one has the pool to oneself. One felt like a guest in a friend’s house.
Coming into our suite at night, we were impressed with how beautiful it was with the diaphanous hangings around the bed. The bed, linens and pillows were all of a high standard.
Luca and his staff were attentive and friendly. Luca, Fred and all the staff could not do enough for us. This was proven when my wife was ill on our last day. Luca had a doctor come within minutes and she was successfully treated.
The food is excellent. It was so delicious we stayed in the riad for all our meals and were not tempted to eat elsewhere.
I highly recommend L’Hôtel for a relaxing stay in lovely surroundings.”

“We stayed in the Fez suite for two nights. The riad is stunningly beautiful, the staff is lovely, and Luca, the manager, was incredibly helpful. I did a lot of research on Marrakech raids and hotels before our trip, and landed on this riad because of it’s design and charm. It was even more lovely than I had expected. We also stayed for two nights at Villa des Orangers which was also lovely, but there is something about this riad that made the experience there even more special.”

A true feel of Marrakech – warm and beautiful
“This hotel is one of a kind, it has style of Marrakech with it’s own charm. The hotel is located within the old part of Medina within the city and very central to all the main sites and attractions. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with a glorious sized bed. The rooms also come with a exquisite seating room with a fire place and windows that look towards the courtyard. With this, one cannot help but feel right at home and cosy. However what makes this an exceptional experience is the service, the staff here are amazing and very helpful. No matter what is needed or if any concerns arouse, it felt like it was taken care by the staff. They truly made it a 5 star experience. I highly recommend coming here.”

“Beyond compare. We spent three blissful days and nights at L’Hotel Marrakech. The Riad is centred around a lush courtyard garden with a pool that catches midday sun and a rose filled bubbling fountain. All Riads have this central courtyard design and some can be very loud and echoey. The garden here creates visual privacy but also sound privacy. We never heard doors banging or voices amplified by all the tile and marble. Instead we heard the bubbly fountain and birdsong! The staff is impeccable; discreet but not formal so to put you on edge. Fred, Ishmael and Khalid were incredibly helpful and patient and sweet. They made us feel welcome. Something right is going on at this gem of a hotel.”

“We loved everything about L’Hotel; it was an oasis in the midst of the wonderful craziness of Marrakesh. It has something extra, due in many ways to the lovely team who genuinely do anything they can to make your stay feel special. With just five suites, beautifully furnished; stunning garden and roof terraces, we really did feel like this was our home in Marrakesh – if only for three days. We ate twice in the Riad as the food and setting (expect low tables adorned with roses) was wonderful.”

Tripadvisor October 2018
“The exquisite interiors, old-fashioned glamour and impeccable service. As first time visitors to Marrakech, it was with some trepidation that we plunged into the dusty, narrow alleyway and made our way past crumbling buildings and stray cats but, after dodging mopeds and donkey carts, we arrived at the discreet dark green door of L’Hôtel Marrakech and entered another world. From the scent of orange blossom that fills the entrance to the mint tea and madeleines served on arrival, every detail has been meticulously planned. Jasper Conran’s sublime interiors blend local craftsmanship with antique pieces to create an elegant retreat that harks back to an earlier, more glamorous age. At the heart of the riad is the courtyard garden with its lush planting and bubbling fountain. We found ourselves abandoning sightseeing plans to spend our afternoons amongst the greenery, relaxing by the little pool. It’s at dusk, however, that it becomes truly enchanting. Dozens of tiny birds swoop in to roost in the trees, the lanterns are lit and music from the 1930s fills the air. We ventured out for dinner on only one night as the food in the hotel was wonderful and there was something deliciously decadent about dining in front of an open fire. With just five suites, L’Hôtel is quiet and intimate – more like a private house than a hotel – and most of the time we felt we had the place to ourselves. The service from manager Luca Ravera and his team was exceptional. We couldn’t have wished for more”

Exquisite
“Marrakech has many beautiful riads but L’Hotel is the ultimate. The whole atmosphere is gorgeous – like being a guest in someone’s beautiful private home. The service is friendly and discreet – we never felt hovered over, but when we needed something it was easy to find the staff. Our room (the Tangier suite) was lovely – bigger than it looks in the photos, and so comfortable. There is a little pool – not for sunbathing, but perfect for lounging in the shade with a book. Alcohol is not sold, but one can bring in their own. We bought Champagne and wine at duty free and the staff chilled this and brought it when we wanted it (poolside). Though the place was full, we usually felt like we were the only ones there. An absolutely divine experience, worth every penny.”

“There are not enough stars in the heavens to adequately rate this absolute gem of a riad in Marrakech. Sometimes referred to as Riad l’Hotel Marrakech, make sure you are booking the right place. Away from the hustle and bustle of the souks and streets of Marrakech is an Eden beyond an unassuming green door in the street. You enter and it’s peaceful, beautiful beyond description with a central garden, pool and the 5 rooms that make up the riad. The incredible staff (our main attendant Ismael was simply superb, and all of them were) are attentive to your every need. They make you feel comfortable when you arrive and when you leave. From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable, the staff were super friendly and helpful and we were really touched by the big bouquet of roses in our suite along with a card wishing us a ‘Happy 1st Anniversary’ – a lovely gesture! We stayed in the Casablanca suite and it was even better than it looked in the photos online. The room is breath-taking, the bed really comfortable and the bathroom magnificent. We had a complimentary dinner one night and we both agreed it was the best meal we had during our stay in Morocco – the food was delicious, we’d highly recommend it. An incredible experience
“We were lucky enough to spot some editorial in Vogue Living Australia which led us to L’Hôtel Marrakech. From the minute we arrived until the time we left we were treated to the most amazing level of service. The five room Riad has been beautifully decorated by its owner Jasper Conran and the whole property is an Instagrammers dream. From the dusty lanes of the medina you enter an oasis of peace and calm. The beds are extremely comfortable with high quality linen. The breakfast spread was exception as were the dinners we enjoyed in the exqusite dinning room looking onto the garden. The pool is ideal for relaxing and dipping at anytime during your stay. Luca and his staff provide the most incredible level of service in a relaxed manner. The mint tea and madeleines upon arrival and everytime you return to the Riad become addictive. We can’t wait to return!”

“I should start by saying I’m not sure if I’m a talented enough writer to fully convey quite how special L’Hôtel Marrakech is, but will try my best to do it justice.
After landing in Marrakech and being met by our driver, we took the short journey through hectic streets into the old town. After swerving around donkeys and mopeds, we were met by a very nice man named George, who then led us down winding pink medina alleyways until we were stood outside an impressive dark green door: the entrance to L’Hôtel. I feel like it would be cliché to call it ‘an oasis’. But it is, so I’m going to.
Behind the door is Jasper Conran’s beautifully restored 19th-century riad, where you suddenly feel a million miles away from the hot and dusty streets….”
